What we measure, and what we do not

Short, specific, and written before anyone asked for it. If you are evaluating us for public sector work, this page is part of the evidence.

The free tools send us nothing

The diagnostic tools on this site — the CMDB health scorecard, the licensing checklist, and the two readiness checks — run entirely in your browser. Your answers are never transmitted, never stored, and never seen by us. There is no form submission behind them and no hidden request. Close the tab and the answers are gone.

This matters because the questions are about the state of your platform. You should not have to disclose that to a firm you are still evaluating in order to get a number back.

What we do measure

Two third-party tools run on this site, both loaded only after the page has finished rendering:

  • Google Analytics 4. Which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which links get clicked. Aggregate traffic measurement.
  • Microsoft Clarity. Heatmaps and session recordings — anonymised replays of how visitors move through a page. We use it to find layout and readability problems.

An ElevenLabs conversational agent also runs on this site. If you speak or type to it, that conversation goes to ElevenLabs to be processed, and we may read the transcript. It is a third party, and you should assume anything you say to it is recorded. Do not put anything into it that you would not put in an email to a firm you have not signed an NDA with.

Clarity is the more invasive of the two analytics tools and we would rather say so than bury it. It records pointer movement, scrolling and clicks. It masks text input by default, and we have not turned that masking off. We use it to answer questions like “does anyone reach the bottom of the government page” — not to identify individuals.

What we do not do

  • No advertising or remarketing pixels. We do not run ads, and nothing here builds an audience list.
  • No selling, sharing or brokering of any data collected here.
  • No newsletter sign-up, no gated downloads, no email wall in front of anything.
  • No cookie banner — because we are not asking you to consent to advertising cookies, since there are none.

Email

If you write to us at the address published on this site, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful and we do not add you to anything. There is no list to be added to.

Opting out

Any browser-level tracking protection, ad blocker or privacy extension will block both tools, and nothing on this site depends on them — every page and every diagnostic works identically with them blocked. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google’s browser add-on.
