Change failure diagnostic

Four numbers, and a reading of the pattern they form. A low failure rate beside a high emergency ratio is not a healthy process.

Change failure rate is the metric everyone reports and almost nobody interprets. On its own it is close to meaningless: an instance can hold a 4% failure rate while a third of its changes bypass the process entirely, and the risk has simply relocated to somewhere nobody is counting.

This tool reads the four figures together and tells you which of five patterns you are in. It does not benchmark you against an industry figure, because those figures are collected from organisations nothing like yours.

Nothing you enter leaves your browser. No form submission, no analytics on your answers, no email required.
